I must apologize in advance for this appearance of this particular post. I have no idea why the text background is as it is. I have deleted, re-typed and re-posted, and copied and pasted from a word document to no avail.
Nonetheless, here we go:
Today has been another good day although I feel a cold coming on! ugh!
Today has been another good day although I feel a cold coming on! ugh!
Breakfast: Visalus Shake for 2 servings of carbs with 2 cups of coffee with only a teaspoon of creamer instead of the tablespoon from yesterday! Mid morning I had an orange for the other serving of carbs allotted for breakfast.
Lunch: I had a sloppy joe in a Kroger brand whole wheat tortilla with a baked sweet potato for a total of 41 grams of carbs or just fewer than the 4 servings allotted for lunch.
Mid-afternoon snack attack: I had a bag of Aldi brand 94% fat free popcorn for 25 grams of carbs which put me a bit over the 60 grams for lunch.
Dinner: I had a great dinner. I used Ramen noodles without the seasoning, a package of Aldi frozen vegetables, and an onion stir fried in a bit of EVOO to make a wonderful stir-fry type dish. The entire entree had only 77 grams of carbs. I ate only 1/4 of the entire dish and had an orange for dessert for a total of 2 servings of carbs which leaves me with about 2 servings of carbs for the rest of the evening which makes up for the bit I went over at lunch. All in all, not bad.
Evening snack: Another bag of Aldi popcorn! 94% fat free!
Thoughts:I have found--as I knew but denied or ignored--that controlling my carb intake controls my cravings. Counting carbs is the easiest diet I have ever tried; I just tend to fall off the wagon too often. Hopefully this time...! I am a technology junkie and hope that my recording my progress via this blog will help me stick with my resolve! Updating the blog and interacting with the blog keeps me out of the kitchen!
Yes, I know this entry is out of place with the others--that happened as I tried to correct the formatting! Sorry!
